The School of Statistics and Mathematics (SAM) at Shandong University of Finance and Economics (SDUFE) traces its roots back to the 1950s, with a legacy of over 70 years in statistical and economic education. Today, it has evolved into a comprehensive academic powerhouse, driven by a dual-core discipline system of Sciences and Economics, strategically supported by Engineering. The school features a full-fledged talent cultivation framework covering Bachelor's, Master's, Doctoral, and Post-doctoral programs.

Academic Programs:

· Undergraduate Programs (6): Economic Statistics, Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Financial Mathematics, Data Science and Big Data Technology, and Statistics (Sino-foreign Cooperative Education). Among these, Statistics and Mathematics and Applied Mathematics are recognized as national first-class undergraduate program construction sites.

· Master's Programs (5): Statistics, Quantitative Economics, Applied Statistics (MAS), Financial Statistics, and Mathematics.

· Doctoral Program: First-level discipline doctoral program in Statistics.

· Post-doctoral Program: Statistics (approved in 2023).

Faculty & Research:

The school boasts 148 full-time faculty members, including 32 professors and 61 associate professors. Over 80% hold doctoral degrees. The faculty includes nationally recognized outstanding teachers and high-level talents. In recent years, they have led over 20 national-level research projects and published more than 400 papers in prestigious journals such as Journal of the Royal Statistical Society Series B, Journal of Economic Theory, and Science China Mathematics.

International Collaboration:

SAM has established international cooperative education programs and platforms with several universities, including Dalhousie University (Canada) , University of Birmingham (UK) , and Macquarie University (Australia) . The school actively promotes global mobility, having sent over 100 faculty members and students for exchange or study programs to countries like the USA, the UK, France, Australia, and South Korea.
